“I’ve been admiring your house, Judy. I feel like I’m in Mad Men or something”
When Judy was offered redundancy from a job she hates, she grabbed the chance to give her life a retro-rebrand and embrace a full-time role as a 1950s housewife.
The fifties ideal of cocktails, circle skirts and devilled eggs might all seem like squeaky-clean good fun, but living a 21st century life in a bygone era isn’t as easy as it looks.
As Judy strives to be a domestic goddess, she finds herself increasingly clashing with the realities of modern life and the expectations of her marriage.
Olivier-Award winning comedy about sex, gender roles, rebellion and cake from acclaimed writer Laura Wade (Posh, Royal Court; Rivals, Disney+).
